Every year approximately 11,000 Americans will become sufferers of spinal injury. The number one cause of spinal injury is automobile accidents, and violence as well as falls and recreational sporting actions follow.

There are two types of spinal injuries, paraplegia and quadriplegia that are established on the level of the injury and precise area of the spine that is injured.
