Post Divorce

Life after the divorce is much different than life during the marriage. Property will be officially divided in the divorce decree, so everything that is titled with both names should be changed. Creditors and insurers need to be notified of the divorce. The beneficiary of a life insurance policy may need to be changed. If child support is being paid, keep formal records of when it is received and how much is received. Records also need to be kept regarding visitations if the payments stop and further actions need to be taken.
