Marital Property Agreement
A marital property agreement is an arrangement between two people who are married, which deals with how to handle marital assets during the marriage. This contract lays out what will happen to property if the parties divorce or there is a death. In the state of Wisconsin marital property agreements must be written out in such a way that they can be enforced, this is because Wisconsin is a community property state. This is similar to a prenuptial agreement, except that it is made after the marriage.
